Steven Yelich recently completed the Master of Music program at Georgia State University after having earned summa cum laude distinction from the Jazz Studies and Honors undergraduate programs at the University of South Carolina. As part of these programs he studied classical theory, classical performance, jazz theory, jazz improvisation, jazz combo arranging, big band arranging, advanced notation with Finale, composition, and recording technology. He is currently the band leader, rehearsal director, keyboardist, and a vocalist for the band Atlanta Beat with Event Performance, an in-home teacher for the Courtnay & Rowe music studio, and a private teacher for piano, voice, and music theory.  Before his college career, he earned a Black Belt in American Martial Arts and was also valedictorian of his graduating class.  Steven’s ambitions include producing multiple original albums, expanding his live performances and working as a studio musician.
